24 HR Security (2005)
For this project, I created two life sized security guards and carried them around with me for one day. These guards “protected” me while riding the bus, visiting the library, going to the mall, etc. I am interested in issues relating to security, and the interesting behaviors that stem from fear – both from individuals and governments.  This project questions the functionality of security measures, and comments on the mechanisms of protection that we create for ourselves.
