Server Observer (2005)
This projects exhibits some of my more obsessive qualities. When I worked as a waitress, I had a tendency to analyze my customers based on two things – what food they chose from the menu, and where in the restaurant they chose to sit. This project catalogues all of the customers from one shift, based on their food order, location and tip, and then gives other information that I presumed about them, such as hobbies, occupation, etc. This projects examines how we often interpret those around us based more on our own presumptions than the people themselves.
